The National Ocean Atmospheric Administration extended the ban on commercial and recreational fishing for red snapper Dec. 3 in federal waters off North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and the Atlantic coast of Florida in order to protect the red snapper population.

Tarpon season has finally begun! Clients have been hooking up with several silver kings each charter in the 100-150 LB class just off the beaches and also in Tampa Bay. The silver kings have been feeding on live shinners and pass crabs. If your an experienced angler or its your first time tarpon fishing, its a experience you will never forget! We're on the backside of the springtime feeding binge of our freshwater fish. Some shellcracker are still bedding on the bars up and down the St. Johns River, but for the most part, spawning is done and fish resume a more docile life as freshwater temperatures continue to heat up.
