It was 5:15 a.m. and 69-year-old Richard Belair found himself standing in hip boots in the Salmon River in Connecticut along with his nephew Steve Sargent and other anglers. Chomping on a bagel, he was waiting for the 2008 fishing season to open at 6 a.m.
