Amazingly, bottom fishing for red snapper and grouper remains good through the heat of summer, which typically almost shuts off when the near-shore fish havens' water temperatures heat up. Expect to catch both red snapper and grouper this weekend at the Amberjack Hole and HH fish havens.

Registration open for annual charity fishing tournament (South Lee Messenger)
Registration is now open for the Conservancy of Southwest Florida s 2008 RedSnook Catch and Release Charity Tournament in Collier County. The International Game Fish Association certified tournament will be held October 3 -5. Teams, individuals and junior anglers under age 16 can participate.
