Federal registry proposed for recreational fishing in federal waters (Minneapolis-St. Paul Star Tribune)
WASHINGTON - The government wants to know who's fishing for fun in federal ocean waters. Recreational anglers and spearfishers would be required to be registered, starting next year, under a rule proposed Wednesday by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

FWC offers fishing clinics for kids (The Gainesville Sun)
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) will branch out to children ages 6 to 16 this summer through a series of in-shore fishing clinics in Cedar Key. The daylong clinics, which will be in June and July, will focus on a number of topics.
