State parks offer free fishing (Abilene Reporter-News)
No fishing license is needed to fish waters within a Texas state park. Just pay the usual entrance fee and you're good to go. Of course, all other fishing regulations such as length limits and bag limits are still in effect. This program only applies to state parks and not to national, local or city parks.
