The annual spring droughts in Florida are tough on lawns and lakes, to be sure. But oddly, they result in bass fishing that is by far the best of the year in the canals that vein much of the Everglades and other marshy areas in the southern half of the state.
Florida man drowns while fishing in Lake Guntersville (The Daily Comet)
A Florida man working on a construction project in north Alabama drowned while fishing with his wife in Lake Guntersville. The body of Gregory Floyd Reeder, 45, of Milton, Fla., was recovered Tuesday.
