October 6th Fishing Report

Fall is finally here and with the water temperature beginning to cool down a bit, the bite has been on! The snook have really turned on this past week and there has also been some big schools of redfish roaming the flats. The trout bite has picked up as well. Bait is plentiful around the piers and also off the beach. If your looking to go fishing, the fall season provides some great action! To book a charter, you can reach me at 941-812-1402.

May 25th Fishing Report

The bite has continued to be really good this week. Tarpon are showing up in good numbers off the beaches and in the passes. Most of the fish we have been catching have been in the 100-130LB range on live threadfin and pass crabs.

The snook bite inshore has been really good too. Although snook are out of season right now, they are still a fun fish to catch. If you’re looking for some food for the table, we have been catching nice sized keeper trout and redfish which are excellent eating fish! June dates are filling up quick, if you’re ready to catch a tarpon now is your chance!

May 6th Fishing Report

The bite is on! The snook fishing is the best I’ve seen in several years. Clients are also catching a lot of nice size trout and redfish. Tarpon have begun to show up in the bay and should start seeing schools of fish on the beach any day now. This is one of my favorite times of year to fish, due to the wide variety of species that can be caught! If you’re looking for some great fishing, now is the time to go!

April 9th Fishing Report

Spring time is here and the bite is on! This spring has produced some of the best snook fishing that I have seen in years! Clients have also been catching a lot of big gator trout and redfish as well. The water temperature is in the low-mid 70’s and the fish have been very active. If you’re looking for a action filled day on the water, spring is one of the best times to go. Book your trip while the bite is hot!

February 17th Fishing Report

It appears that winter is coming to an end and spring is right around the corner! It’s been a cold winter and I’m glad to see a forecast with a weeks worth of temperatures ranging from 75-80 degrees! Clients have been catching pompano, flounder, trout, sheepshead, bluefish and redfish using live shrimp and artificial lures. Live bait (shiners) has begun to show up in the bay and fishing should really start to turn on as the water temperature warms up. I plan on starting to catch live bait this week and look forward to a beautiful week of sunshine and good fishing!

June 6th Fishing Report

Tropical Storm Andrea has put a damper on fishing this week. With all the wind and rain, it’s been too rough to get out on the beach for the tarpon. The bay fishing has remained solid with good catches of snook, trout and redfish. The storm looks like it will be out of here by the weekend and can’t wait to get back on the water. The new moon is on the 8th which will provide great tides and some good fishin!

May 21st Fishing Report

It’s been a beautiful week on the water! The full moon is on the 24th and the Tarpon have arrived! We have been catching fish from 80-140 lbs on the beach and around the passes. With the strong full moon tides, it should be a great week of Tarpon fishing! In the backwater, the snook, redfish and trout bite has been providing great action as well. Live bait is thick on the grassflats and the fish are feeding good on these strong tides. If your interested in doing some tarpon fishing, June is prime time!
