April 27th Fishing Report

med-snook2It has been a great week on the water. Bait has shown up thick on the flats and the full moon has made for some good fishing. We have been catching alot of big trout between 20-27 inches and the snook bite has been as good as I have seen it in the last few years. The redfish weren’t as schooled up this week, but we were still catching good numbers. I did see a couple tarpon in the bay, tarpon season is right around the corner!

The weather has finally warmed up and the bite is on! Live bait has shown up and we have been catching a lot of really nice sized trout, redfish, snook and mackarel. The weather forecast looks great for the coming week, with temperatures right around 80 everyday. If your looking for some rod bending action, spring is a great time of the year to go fishing! We are coming up on the full moon tides next week which will make for even better fishing! If your interested in booking a trip you can reach me at 941-812-1402.

March 5th Fishing Report

I sure hope this is the last cold snap of the year for us. It was very cool week on the water, but weather reports look great for the coming weeks with plenty of sunshine and warmer temperatures, which should really turn on the fishing. Live bait has shown up in the bay and we have been catching snook, redfish and trout on the warm sunny days. On the cooler days, we have been targeting sheepshead, trout, pompano, mackarel and bluefish using live shrimp and artificial lures. I’m really looking forward to the new moon tides next week, combined with warm weather should make for some great action on the water! If your interested in booking a trip, please call me at 941-812-1402.
